CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Police are investigating an overnight stabbing outside a Chesapeake lounge and say the victim has died.
Ravi Sheth with the Chesapeake Police Department said officers were called to the 45 Degrees Martini Lounge in the Orchard Square Shopping Center, located in the 1400 block of Kempsville Road, at 1 a.m. Sunday for an injured person. Police found a 37-year-old man who had been stabbed in the abdominal area.
The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said he later died of his injuries. He’s been identified as Jonathan Quijano of Virginia Beach.
According to investigators, it appears Quijano was involved in a verbal fight with five males and one female in the parking lot of the 45 Degrees Martini Lounge. Police said the suspects fled after Quidano was stabbed.
Police have not released any additional information or descriptions of the suspects. No arrests have been made at this time.
