GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) – A 68-year-old Gloucester man died Saturday morning when his pickup truck crashed on Burleigh Road.

According to a news release from Virginia State Police, around 7 a.m. a 2001 Dodge pickup truck driven by William F. Kossler ran off the road and hit a tree. Kossler suffered life-threatening injuries, and later died.

Investigators have not determined what caused Kossler’s truck to leave the roadway but have said he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor.
