Police investigate theft of tires, batteries

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Thousands of dollars worth of tires and car batteries was taken from a compound in January and February, according to Chesapeake Police.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said on four different occasions, and unknown suspect or suspects forced their way into a compund on Great Bridge Boulevard. Police said the suspect or suspects took more than $4,000 worth of tires and car batteries.

O’Sullivan said the thefts happened on Jan. 9, Jan. 25, Feb. 1 and Feb. 8.
