Norfolk woman wins $500k in lottery

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk nurse won $500,000 in the Virginia Lottery at a Virginia Beach 7-Eleven store.

During her daily pit stop at the 7-Eleven at 200 Newtown Road, Nelda Booker bought a cup of coffee and a couple lottery tickets. She scratched at ticket and won $100, with which she bought a Millionaire Mania ticket.

The lucky ticket was worth $500,000 and the store received a $10,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The top prize in the Millionaire Mania game is $2 million. Booker wont the game’s final $500,000 prize, leaving one $2 million ticket unclaimed.
