Police seek convenience store robbery suspect

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed a Virginia Beach convenience store at gunpoint.

Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the suspect went into the 7-Eleven located at 6673 Indian River Rd. on Tuesday around 9:42 p.m.

Police said the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerks. Once the suspect got the money, Borman said he fled towards the back of the business.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’7” tall, weighing 180 pounds, wearing a black fleece jacket with a hood, blue jeans and a white scarf.
