Two ECU football players involved in accident

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WAVY) – Two East Carolina University football players were taken to the hospital after a crash Wednesday morning, according to an ECU spokesperson.

The spokesperson said Terrell Stanley and Isaac Harris were involved in the crash, which happened on U.S. Highway 264 Alternate. Stanley and Harris were reportedly on their way to ECU from their off-campus residence when the accident happened.

Stanley was behind the wheel at the time of the crash, and according to Vidant Medical Center, he was listed in critical condition. Harris was also taken to the hospital, but was released.

ECU said Stanley, a defensive end from Southport, N.C., started 12 of 13 games as a sophomore for the Pirates during the 2013 season. Harris, from Irmo, S.C., opened 12 of 13 contests at the left offensive tackle position.
