Cutting victim suffers serious injuries

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk man is accused of wielding a knife inside a business early Monday, injuring two people as well as himself.

Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said officers were called to Clancy’s in the 1200 block of East Little Creek Road around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a malicious wounding.

Police say the suspect, identified as Luke Haldorf, 33, wielded the knife at two adult male victims, inflicting lacerations. Haldorf and one of the victims were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with minor injuries.

The other victim received serious injuries that are possibly life-threatening, Parker-Chesson said.

Haldorf was charged with one count of aggravated assault. Additional charges are pending at this time.
