DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – A woman is facing a statutory rape charge in Dare County.

Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received a report about an incident involving indecent liberties with children on Roanoke Island Jan. 31.

Further investigation found two victims who were interviewed, Hoggard said. As a result, Leslie Dana Brady, 27, of Roanoke Island was arrested and charged with statutory rape or sexual offense of a person who is 13, 14 or 15 years old by a person who is at least six years older than the victim.

Further information was not released.

Brady was granted a $100,000 bond. It is unknown at this time if she has since posted that bond.
