LOS ANGELES, Ca. (WAVY) — He’s made us laugh for 22 years, but Jay Leno is saying farewell to “The Tonight Show” on Thursday, February 6.
WAVY.com’s Nicole Livas got to visit the Tonight Show in 1999. She was in Los Angeles for a friend’s birthday party when she decided to check on tickets, since she worked at NBC-owned WJAR-TV at the time.
NBC really came through for her — Nicole had a front row seat where she was able to shake Leno’s hand at the start of the show. Leno even handed her a bag of cookies during a segment.
But her best memory of the show: “Michael Jordan was the featured guest that night,”Livas said.
