NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Mayor McKinley Price wants to continue serving the City of Newport News and has announced his bid for re-election.
Price was elected as mayor in 2010. Previously, he served on the Newport News School Board from 1984 – 1992 and as chair for two years, as well as Newport News City Council in 2004 for about five months.
“We have made significant progress but have not finished the journey,” Price said. “Together, we are on the brink of taking this city to the next level. I look forward to helping uplift the city with the great citizens of Newport News to continue to make great things happen.”
Price was born and raised in Newport News.
