SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were displaced from a mobile home after a fire in rural Suffolk Tuesday afternoon.

Diana Klink with Suffolk Fire & Rescue said crews were called to the 1100 block of Audubon Road around 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the front door of a mobile home.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but an adult and a child were displaced from the home due to fire damage. Klink said they are being assisted by a nearby family.
