NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Despite a boost from the local economy on Small Business Saturday, a Norfolk neighborhood market is closing for good.
Shady Grove Marketplace opened in the Freemason area in 2011. The owner told WAVY.com the store took a hit during the sequestration crisis and did not recover.
Shady Grove will officially close its doors this weekend.
At this time, there is no word if a new business will move into the space.
