HRT will honor passes expired during storm

Norfolk, Va. (WAVY) –  Hampton Roads Transit will provide three, free one-day passes to customers whose exiting passes could not be used this week when service was suspended.

“Our customers are the reason we are in business,” said William Harrell, president and CEO of HRT, in a press release. “We fully understand the burden that no service places on them. We offer this gesture as an expression of appreciation for our customers’ loyalty.”Ava Hurdle on HRT buses not running

Customers will be able to redeem their passes at the following locations Tuesday through Feb. 14, during normal business hours:

  • Hampton Transportation Center, 2 W. Pembroke Ave., Hampton
  • Newport News Transportation Center, 150 W. 35th Street, Newport News
  • Silverleaf Transportation Center, 4300 Commuter Drive, Virginia Beach
  • The front desk lobby at HRT’s administrative offices in Norfolk, 509 E. 18th Street
