VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A water main break has shut down part of Pacific Avenue in Virginia Beach.
Virginia Beach Public Utilities closed the northbound lanes of Pacific Avenue between 36th and 37th streets due to a water main break. Drivers are being detoured to Atlantic Avenue.
Crews are working to repair the break, and may need to shut down the waterline for repairs. Customers may notice a slight discoloration or cloudiness in the water, but Virginia Beach Public Utilities said it is only temporary and is harmless.
It is unclear how long Pacific Avenue will be closed.
