Hit-and-run suspect sought in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run early Friday morning.

Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of East Princess Anne Road for a report of a hit-and-run around 4:40 a.m. The suspect vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound on the roadway when it struck another vehicle and did not stop.

According to police, the same vehicle traveled through the intersection of Lindenwood Avenue and Tidewater Drive and struck an unoccupied house in the 2500 block of Tidewater Drive.

When officers arrived, the driver had fled the scene. Parker-Chesson said there is no description of the driver at this time.
