NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Two people now face charges related to a stolen van in Newport News after a 10 On Your Side investigation.

Police arrested Samuel Robert Bulich Tuesday in Hampton for grand larceny auto, grand larceny, grand larceny with intent to sell and three counts of conspiracy to commit larceny. The same charges have been made against suspect Jennifer Diane Matkowski, who is still wanted by Police.

Both are facing larceny charges after Newport News resident, Bruce Parham, told WAVY.com the homeless couple stole his work van and equipment. Parham says he took the couple in during the holidays.

Police credit 10 On Your Side with helping make the arrests happen. After WAVY aired a story about Parham, the Newport News Police Department said they received several Crime Line tips about the stolen van.

Police didn’t find the van; they think it was sold. But they have recovered a pressure washer and blower.
Police describe the stolen vehicle as a white Econoline Ford van with a ladder rack and Duck Dynasty stickers on the back with Virginia license plates that read “XAJ-5998.”

If you have any information that could help police, call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Ivestigators say the couple may have been involved in three other instances over the past few years.
