Friends, family march to bring “Justice for Jeramiah”

Justice for Jeramiah march

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Family, friends, and concerned neighbors gathered in Hampton seeking “Justice For Jeramiah” Thursday night.

Jeramiah Kimble is the 19-year-old found shot to death in a wooded area on Thomas Street Sunday. Police are calling it a homicide and are looking for his killer.

Kimble’s father, Carlos Winston, organized a march through the neighborhood Thursday to keep the case on people’s minds and to get the word out that violence against young people isn’t an isolated problem.

“It could be someone else’s son, someone else’s daughter, granddaughter, nephew, niece, cousin,” Winston said.  So we are out here to let individuals know it’s not gonna stop. No matter how much you run, how long you run, I’ll be out here ’til you’re caught.”

Kimble was reported missing January 14, three days before his body was found near Mary Peake Elementary School.
